, White, South African, Nigerian, Malawian, American or whatever else may be. The mere fact that we are human, makes worth to live amongst each other. 2015 showed South African retaliating, burning and dispositioning peoples’ bodies, all because they are not South African enough.

Whatever it may be, there is absolutely no reason to treat people like that. The hashtag say no to xenophobia was started by people of South Africa in aims to dismantle the war that was taking peoples lives.

Families were broken and many were left injured or dead. This was a catastrophe for the South African government because potential investors didn’t want to buy in and some were pulling out. This did not just affect South Africa, as people from Nigeria was about to stop using the MTN network as they service provider.
However the government moved in quickly and started campaigning against foreign attacks. The campaigns worked and South African realised we are Africans before we are South Africans.

We are no better that someone who is a racist. I argue all South Africans to be more aware of issues that stand in our way. Issues that can destroy the very human life we thrive for every day. Let us do better to be better. IT ALL STARTS WITH YOU.
